Betsy Anne Huggins Joins APH as Engagement and Training Specialist
APH is happy to welcome Betsy Anne Huggins as the Engagement and Training Specialist, where she will work closely with Jim Sullivan, Director of Social Enterprise, Innovation, and Strategy. Based within APH’s Dot 6 Department, Betsy Anne’s responsibilities will include creating product training materials, preparing for conferences, developing product information strategies, and following up on sales leads. She will also work with staff across all APH departments.
“I am very excited to join the team at APH and leverage my skills as an educator, creative thinker, and advocate in a new field,” said Betsy Anne.
Currently living in Louisville, Betsy Anne earned her bachelor of arts in Theatre Arts: Acting and Political Science from Beloit College. Most recently, Betsy Anne worked as the Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, in Montgomery, Alabama.
With a history in the theater arts, Betsy Anne says, the multiple hats she wore will help her excel as the Engagement and Training Specialist.
“As a theatre educator, I most enjoyed helping students build literacy, social-emotional, and communication skills through the art of playwriting and playmaking. At APH, I have the opportunity to ensure that all students have access to the tools they need to write their own stories.”
After a few short weeks, Betsy Anne’s impact is already being felt at APH.
“We are excited that Betsy Anne has chosen to join the APH team. In just a short time, her experience and creativity have positively impacted the work we do,” said Sullivan.
