Product Description

Build different mazes on a grid-style board by replicating the tactile graphics on the included activity cards. Students can use the tactile/braille coding cards to map out a step-by-step path for Colby, and enter that sequence into him by pressing the forward, reverse, right, and left buttons on Colby’s back. Hit the Go button, and watch Colby race to his cheese! Colby even lights up and makes sounds along his journey. Along the way, students will learn problem-solving, critical thinking, if-then logic, O&M skills, route planning, and much more.

Read the Learning Resources blog: The Road to Creating the Accessible Code and Go Mouse to learn more about the journey of making the Code & Go Mouse accessible and inclusive for all learners.

  • “I appreciate the concrete approach to teaching coding. This is an ideal product for students who struggle with the leap from concrete to abstract thinking, especially for students who struggle with the concepts of left and right.”

“The product is inviting, and I think the technological element will appeal to many children. The concept seems fun yet educationally useful, especially for the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.”

“The product seems to be of a high-quality level comparable to major retail games.”
